Oh no i get what your on about "Virtual PC" yea it might work I used to use it in XP when i needed to run a few apps that only worked in 98SE, it's been a while since i used it but it is there as a last resort but to be honest i'd rather wait until the apps i need will work in 7 without the need for any form of emulation having said that i won't rule it out, but a good reminder thanks cobra All1

Jesus not that old chestnut... Guess i'll fill it in otherwise they will kick the door in but this time i feel like being more mischievous so apart from the jedi thing i'll have to wait and see...

Yea i know what you mean but I do love XP and won't be moving all systems over to 7 just yet, as it stands i'm just playing with lappy to see what apps are going to give me hassle and so far there are a few Quick View Plus, CCE, DVD-RB, AcdSee are just a few of them, most seem ok but there are a few that are giving me grief and MS will stop support for XP sooner or later i'd rather know what problems are facing me now and be able to work round it before it's too late. One thing i like about XP is being able to make it have that classic look at i'm not a lover of 7's UI so been doing some digging on getting that classic look back and come across THIS and when you apply it, it looks so cool, early days but it seems most of the apps just a few i need to update or failing that find alternatives for but i CANNOT do without CCE and DVD-RB as i use these for all my DVD9's to DVD5 conversions so more reading ahead. :Study: All1

OK I am slowly dragging my fat ass in the world of Win7 (Jesus how i miss DOS) and i'm coming up with a fair few problems with old apps not working. Now maybe this is because my apps are so old (AcdSee 9) but i always worked on the basis of they worked for me it was OK, is there some trick i'm missing or do i just need to update them, I have tried running them as Admin (I mean what's all that about) and running in XP SP3 mode (as they all worked on my xp SP3 machine. It's not life or death right now as i'm just playing with it on the lappy but would welcome any feedback that people who moved from XP/vista to 7. http://www.howtogeek.com seems to offer some useful info but not found out why i'm having so many problems. controversial painting at a Banksy gallery of the bus blown up during the London 7/7 attacks is set to raise eyebrows among victims' families and the public alike. The black and white picture by former Tube graffiti vandal Mark Sinckler shows the wreckage of the double-decker, with renaissance-style angels flying out of it. The bus was destroyed in the explosion in Tavistock Square, after it was targeted along with three Tube stations by suicide bombers. A total of 52 civilians were killed in the attacks on July 7, 2005. Sinckler's work will be placed in the window of a new gallery created by Banksy, who is no stranger to controversy himself. Speaking about the Marks & Stencils gallery in Soho, London, the renowned street artist said: "People enjoy shopping more than they enjoy art. "So it makes sense to try and disguise your gallery as a home furnishings store." Open for the next four weeks, he described it as "a chance for the public to see some less-refined culture after they’ve finished browsing Soho’s adult bookshops". The Bristol-based artist, who has never revealed his identity, is famous for painting political and satirical graffiti on walls during the night, apparently unnoticed. His artwork has been sold for up to £600,000 at auction. Collectors apparently include Angelina Jolie and Damien Hirst. I happen to think it's a beautiful bit of work. All1

As some of you may know i'm doing a little boys laptop for his christmas gift from his mum, updating windows/AV/malware apps, sorting drivers out for printer and getting it to run they he would want it (with his mum's suggestions). So one thing his mum wanted was some nice images of Manchester United players/training ground/main ground etc etc just some nice images for him, so i email Man U and explained he has ADHD and any images they could email me would be more then welcome, 20 mins later (nice and quick) I get a reply saying we don't have any images, but if you want to look at our other image site they might be able to help. Low and behold when i clicked on the link loads of photo's there the ground from the air and everything, superb images for the kid and they wanted money for every shot.... I know money makes the world go round but for f u c k s sake where do you draw the line, i was never a fan of Man U but now i hate them with a passion (almost as much as Diana) just seem like money grabbing pigs, disgusting, pure and simple.. Rant over with. :Furious: All1
