Unfortnately though we have no way of knowing what a 'right situation' do we.... And the reason is because there is no true independant way of holding plod to account! Therefore for them it's just a case of getting the balance of the lies and the politics right, and there will be no comeback...and even if it did look like there might be a 'problem' regarding evidence against them, then there are always the options of 'timing out' an investigation, or retirement on medical grounds... :Winky: They literally get away with murder, and The State is complicit in this... There are three levels of proof to hold one to account in the country. The lowest is the Civil Court.. Next up is the Criminal Court.. Finally there is god plod!

When Tasers were first introduced it was stated explicitly that they were to be a non-lethal alternative to a firearm being used... The figures state that they were used 110 times in London alone last year.. So either they would have shot 110 people without them, or they are used when not applicable. Give plod a weapon and he'll use it when it's easier!...And as I have said before, it's just an arms race and will lead eventually to cops being routinely armed. Batons weren't 'enough', so they got sprays. Sprays are not 'enough' so the start getting Tasers. When they are not 'enough' guess what the next move is!! Funnily enough, this is the reply given by the same cop when replying to the ruling that swearing at a police officer wasn't a crime... Plod speak for 'we'll fit you up for something else'!

The main drum part could be an old steel dustbin that I've got, and aa old rucksack could be converted for the harness... But how to make the 'skin' is what is puzzling me... Some form of taut tarpaulin perhaps? But how to get it taut is what I'd like to ask....

And you are right to a certain extent Divvy - but that is the result of globalisation! Driving down wages in order to increase profits is a corporate mantra! And when some are happy to accept lower wages, then why pay more?...we have been doing that for years by exporting our jobs to China! Now we can no longer afford to import so much, companies/government are eroding our earning power in order to keep their gravy train going... Lets hope that enough people will understand that in time, so the 'occupy' protests become a revolutionary movement! I see that they have occupied an empty building owned by UBS.... I'd like to see a certain useless building in westminster occupied !

And what jobs that you talk about are actually out there? So who do you think actually runs this country? Big corporations have a word in the governmental ear, and hey presto - free labour! And who benefits?...Big corporations of course! The UK is on track to become the new sweatshop economy, and it won't be long before the Chinese are getting us to manufacture for them! Some benefit claimants are indeed scroungers, but most need benefits to survive and have paid (or their families have) into the system so there is some form of entitlement there... And how much money have we tax payers poured into the banking system in order that they carry on making profits and paying ludicrous bonuses? Anyone who actually believes that an 'elected' government actually decides what happens in a capitalist society is deluded in the extreme!

I'm sure most people in the 1930's thought that the idea of a war was OTT too... However the similarities between the situation then and now are striking. And there's always money for war!... In fact I believe it possible that one is being engineered in the same fashion as was WW2, because the issues are the same..In fact they are worse due to the increased world population and dwindling resources... But will we? Of course if the US deploys weapons it considered using in the Gulf, it might be a more 'interesting' war... :Smiler:
