Hmmm... apart from the entire council giving him a vote of no- confidence at the tail end of last year and his backing down and INCREASING council tax not cutting it, he refuse to resign... a few of his less sensationalist quotes... "Praise" for the Taliban Speaking in September 2009, Davies' conservative approach to family values was unequivocal as he spoke of his admiration for the “ordered way of life under the Taliban.” "The one thing to be said about the Taliban is that they do have an ordered society of some sort and that they don't have hundreds of cases of children under threat of abuse from violent parents, as we have in Doncaster." —Peter Davies, September 2009 Mr Davies made it clear it was the moral code he was an admirer of while detesting the Taliban themselves, adding, "The point I was making was that even a regime as hideous as the Taliban at least appear to have sort of decent sort of family affairs. In fact probably...they have an ordered society." He continued: "We in this country have created mayhem through lax social policies of disregard for marriage and the family and we have created mayhem in society." Child protection services in Doncaster Under Davies' stewardship, Doncaster Council Child protection services were described in a report by the departments own director as “unacceptably poor” and “in many areas getting worse.” After an incident in which two young boys living in Council care were given indeterminate sentences for the torture of two other children, an Audit Commission report stated that: “Those leading the council - the mayor and cabinet, some councillors and some officers - do not collectively have the capacity or capability to make the necessary improvements in governance.” Mr Davies responded that he thought it “ a very black report without any shade of colour at all”. Library closures Davis has been criticised by Doncaster residents after admitting that he had never borrowed a book from a public library and walking out of a public meeting convened to discuss the proposed closure of a local library - a branch that Mr Davis admitted to having never seen.

Rain and bad light has suspended play on the fifth day of rioting with a draw now expected to be the likely outcome. Rioters dominated proceeding in the early stages, making heavy inroads into shops and vehicles, but the police fought back in the later stages before dark clouds and rain put a halt to proceedings, much to the disappointment of a captive audience. “It’s a shame,” said one fan of violent disturbances. “I tuned in last night to watch the action, but because of the rain all they showed were highlights.” “I don’t know we bother scheduling riots in the north of England, because you simply can’t rely on the weather not to ruin it for everyone.” Rains suspends play Both sides will be disappointed that there will be no outright winner, but they can take confidence from a contest which had numerous highlights. “I feel we really took the fight to the police,” said one rioter. “We showed great determination and dominated the opening exchanges, though they did came back strongly on day four.” “But I think overall we can take a number of positives from our performance.” The police were also upbeat despite the rain delay. “Obviously it’s disappointing that play was stopped just when I felt we were getting on top, but I think the resilience and fighting spirit we showed is testament to the character of the lads,” revealed Stephen Kavanagh, Metropolitan Police’s Deputy Assistant Commissioner. “There’s talk of cuts, but if this group can stay together than I think we’re capable of achieving something special.”

I've been having a browse through some of the later pages of his "manifesto", it's amazing !! This guy was no madman, this is almost a novel written in the form of a diary, in a detailed and completely logical manner. Using the information contained in the last hundred or so pages literally anyone could do the same as he did in just about any "westernised" country out there. He even goes deeply, deeply, into depth, on how to set up "cover stories" and companies to account for why you are buying large quantities of the some of the chemicals, and how he went about concealing everything from his friends and family. One of the most intriguing things about this though is, where is the rest of the explosives ?? He made nearly 6 tonnes of the stuff, and only used 1800Kg for the Oslo bomb, so there's potentially two more of them out there somewhere :Struggle: He even mentions "20 charges" and "blast sites" There's a lot more to come out about this yet.
-
This guy carefully planned the stuff he carried out, and it's fully documented, he made Youtube video's about his thoughts and what he would do, and even writes that he wanted to be captured alive so he would become a martyr :Surprise: It's all out there on the net if you want to see it; Torrent users . . . . http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/6561147/Anders_Behring_Breivik_a___Manifest_and_Video WARNING: BE VERY CAREFUL IF YOU DOWNLOAD THIS, THE DOCUMENT CONTAINS FULL DETAILS ON HOW TO MAKE THE BOMB HE USED, EVEN DOWN TO HOW TO GET HOLD OF THE CHEMICALS ETC. NOT A GOOD THING TO BE CAUGHT "IN POSSESSION OF" IN SOME COUNTRIES (EUSSR)

Police are now asking people to be extra vigilant as they believe there was another person involved. The guy purchased SIX TONES of fertiliser in May, that's enough to make one huge bomb, much bigger than was used in Oslo, or lots of smaller ones. :Surprise: Death toll still at 84 on the island and 7 in Oslo, but there are 11 critically injured from Oslo and no figures released yet from the island. Both locations are still being searched for any further people.

Found in the readers comments on a website of a Norwegian newspaper

I just got up and watched the news while having some breakfast, 84 children dead, I can't believe it, and they are saying that the numbers WILL rise. Very similar to the old laws in the UK, with the exception that there is a very strong hunting tradition here, and a much bigger percentage of the population have hunting rifles. You do have to jump through far more hoops to get a hunting licence, and that includes passing proper educational courses and hands on training at Police run examinations. IIRC, anyone in the military is automatically allowed to possess weapons, but their use for hunting is still restricted to passing the normal exams and courses.

Maybe we should . . . Just heard Norwegian foreign minister confirm on TV that the gunman on the island was WHITE.
-
Now reports of over 20 kids shot dead at close range on the island, and some drowned trying to swim away, lots of injured, mainly head shots :Furious:
-
Me and all mine are OK. Thanks for the concern guys. I'm sat here still shaking with anger . . . Latest NRK news reports are 7 dead in Oslo, 11 critically injured, hundreds of minor injuries. 8 children dead at Utoya island youth camp, no numbers on injured yet Norway will never be the same again after this :Furious:

Found this "somewhere" :Scull: I particularly love the last line . . . "The Anonymous bitchslap rings through your ears like hacktivism movements of the 90s. We're back - and we're not going anywhere."

Hmmm, Thoughts on George Foreman Grills . . . . . . . Did you know?????? The George Foreman grill was almost the Hulk Hogan grill. Apparently an agent had two products that needed endorsing. One was a grill and the other was a blender. Since Hogan wasn't around when the call came in, George Foreman took the grill and Hogan got left with the blender that apparently made no dough.

Yup, looks a lot better now, you can actually read the titles before they disappear :Thumbs_Up1: I'm using Opera 11.10 for my browser.

Nice one mister. Spotted a small problem with it though :Struggle: The pictures at the top right of the first page, the ones with the text banners . . . they seem to change far to quickly sometimes, i.e. only on the screen for about 2 seconds, and the text box that pops up does the same randomly.

Damage caused by the Japanese Tsunami, and after the clean up. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2001984/Japan-tsunami-earthquake-Pictures-recovery-3-months-later.html Shows what hard work, determination, and fighting spirit can do. I wonder what the difference would be if it was in the UK and not Japan :Hmm:
