djweeble
I'm in the market for a new stereo for the family bus - a Nissan Largo. I've got a mucho cheapo Craplins DVD player fitted at the moment, and I want to fit something decent, not competition standard, but I want reasonable quality and a few must have features as well as the normal am/fm rds etc. So, MUST HAVE's: Double DIN fitting, I won't even consider anything single DIN. Touch screen control with removable screen DVD R, RW, CD-R, CD-RW CDMP3 player USB and/or SD card slots. Play MP3, WAV, AVI, DivX, etc, etc, etc Show tag information on the screen Internal amp for main speakers, with external connections for sub amps etc DUAL ZONE, i.e. DVD playing in the rear on headphones for sound, radio or CD playing on the main speakers. MUST play DVD on the move without modifications, some don't (i.e. Pioneer AVIC range) WOULD BE NICE: Hard drive Remote control so the kids in the back can control the DVD Rear camera connection with reverse gear switching and manual selection Bluetooth for the mobile phone Selectable colour scheme Update-able firmware NOT REQUIRED but wouldn't stop me from buying it, I just wouldn't use them. Anything "i" Sat nav Internet connection My budget just for the head unit is up to £500, though I might be able to go a bit higher if I save up a few more weeks I've been looking at Pioneer, Kenwood, Alpine, etc, etc, but it's been years since I had anything to do with decent car audio, so has anyone got any advice/pointers ?? djweeble
Well, after a few months of deliberation and shopping around, I finally plumped for one of these; Kenwood DDX5026 I didn't pay anywhere near that price for it though  Now I just have to find the time to fit it
