sparks
So who exactly serves who? Link Police officers could open fire on arsonists targeting shops and offices during future riots if there were a risk of someone getting killed in nearby homes, a review of police tactics used during the August disturbances has found. Inspectors concluded that police commanders "must be equipped to respond with extraordinary measures" when life was threatened after an investigation found that officers held back from tackling rioters because of concerns they could be breaking the law. So now plod should be allowed to execute people on the spot without 'breaking the law'? At least they are just clarifying what already happens.... :Winky: And don't think this will just be about 'riot' situations...this is a prelude to plod being routinely armed! btw...note the emphasis on 'shops and offices' as opposed to the secondary thought about homes...as ever, people come a distant second to commercial interests!
